BASIC FUNCTION

  • Reporting to the District Manager.
  • Responsible for the growth of sales within head office or independent dealer channel as well. A successful Specialist will be technically-focused, balanced with a commercially focused and results-driven attitude.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Sell to customers.
  • Contact new and existing customers to meet and exceed sales objectives.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service with prospective clients, while maintaining accurate records of call activity, expenses and the sales process with each client and prospect.
  • Identify key influencers in the assigned geography and develop lasting value-added relationships with them that will improve sales volume in the assigned territory.
  • The Specialist works on the day-to-day operational support to the head office or independent dealer channel.
  • Responsible for driving sales with the dealerships.
  • Assist the dealers with joint visits to the farms, with existing clients and performing cold calls.
  • Visit the farms, conduction of presentations, product promotion, cold calls, building close relationship with farmers, signing the contract, assistant and client support.
  • Have an understanding of the Capital Goods (CG) and Consumables & Services (C&S) product/service portfolios.

EXPERIENCE / BACKGROUND

  • Understanding of the poultry feed industry. Understanding of sales and marketing to the poultry feed industry. Understanding of the consultative sales process. Understanding of poultry nutrition. Understanding of standard software applications (Microsoft Office).
  • Degree in animal science, technical, agricultural, chemistry or similar area required.
  • 5+ years of experience in equipment or consumables sales preferred.
  • Experience in the poultry industry required.
  • Experience with the setup of new sales strongly preferred.
